On August 11, 2026, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) issued a final rule permanently exempting U.S.-created entities from the beneficial ownership information (BOI) reporting requirements that took effect in January 2024. While this brings welcome relief for most domestic businesses, the CTA has not been repealed, and certain foreign entities operating in the United States must still comply.
