The convention was held from August 30th – September 1st, 2024, at The Westin New York in Times Square. This year’s theme revolved around, “Overcoming challenges through excellence and diversity in the Accounting profession.” There were many attendees from across the United States, Canada, Philippines, and other countries, who were eager to learn more about what the convention had to offer. 

One of the main goals of the event was to embrace change, leverage technology, and uphold professionalism through collaboration. With the ever-evolving business environment and its risks, learning new tools and techniques was an effective way for attendees to feel prepared in their industries. Tonette Santillan, CPA, CGMA, is a Partner at Vasquez who led a presentation at the event focusing on “Strategic Growth: Maximizing Profitability through Offshoring and Outsourcing.” Her presentation highlighted the advantages of offshoring and outsourcing and how its benefits for Vasquez can benefit others as well.
